Stack Match

Stack Match is a job board that is part of StackShare, it allows engineers to discover job opportunities that are a great fit with their preferred tech stack. Stack Match is a single page app, the real-time search results & filtering is built on top of Algolia. This was a very fun project to work on with the StackShare team.

Stack Match

This is the version of Stack Match that we went live with. It ended up being a fairly successful launch, we received a lot of great feedback that helped us iterate quickly and tweak the system for the community & recruiters.

Save Stack Modal

We wanted to make it easy for users to quickly access their stack, so we built out a feature that allows them to save their stack & search filters. They could also set it up to receive email updates periodically.

Initial Wireframe

Intial wireframe after discussing what we wanted to solve with Stack Match. We showed this along with a few other component wireframes + Invision prototype to our users to start the feedback loop.

Approved Wireframe

After collecting feedback from a core group of users on how they think we could elegantly solve this problem, this is the wireframe we ended up moving forward with.
We learned a few things during the feedback loop that really helped shape the product.

  • - we couldn't accurately display the salaries
  • - users requested to display company description in results
  • - users wanted to require tools
  • - users wanted to favorite results
  • - users needed a way to filter results based off full time, contract or remote
